Yes, our flavor is inspired by our hometown of Puebla, Mexico and a touch of Veracruz, Mexico. These two states are filled with beautiful culture that exudes originality and tradition and we take from this to inspire our delicious plates and bring a little taste of our home to you. We strive to offer you not just any Mexican food but OUR Mexican food, the way we do Mexican Kitchen.
The Taco Shop: Our Journey Begins
The Taco Shop was founded by Juan Lima and Monica Andrade years before our first location opened. Juan and Monica began this journey selling food in the streets of Oxnard. They served local businesses such as mechanic shops, insurance offices, and cell phone shops, among many others. Their goal then, just like it is now, was to offer good-quality food for on-the-go clients. After years of hard work and dedication, the opportunity presented itself to The Taco Shop Mexican Kitchen.
